This is to inform all travelers to India from the United States that due to the outbreak of Swine-flue, health screening of passengers coming from affected countries including the United Sates of America is continuing in 21 airports in India (Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Calicut, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Srinagar, Trichi and Varanasi). 221 doctors and 111 paramedics have been deployed to man 76 counters at the above airports.
All visitors arriving in India from the United States are advised that in case of detection of symptoms of flue, quarantine and /or hospitalization etc. would be required as decided by the health experts at the Indian airport.
Necessary medicines are available in India and all possible measures are being taken to limit the entry of disease in India.
